About The Purple Chair Podcast
This podcast offers a unique platform for exploring these critical issues through personal narratives, intersectional insights, and forward-thinking solutions.

The series features six remarkable young women from female genital mutilation-affected communities—Bassmala, Cynthia, Imtinan, Leah, Nabila, and Sherifat—who will share their experiences and activism.

Each episode will present engaging dialogues with a diverse range of guests, covering topics such as community engagement, intersectionality, and disability, and offering fresh perspectives on addressing these complex issues.

The Purple Chair Podcast is designed to showcase the power of youth-led activism, uncover hidden stories, and challenge societal norms, all while inspiring collective action towards a future free from FGM and GBV. This project aims to enhance the skills and visibility of young women from the FGM-affected diaspora in Europe, promoting youth social entrepreneurship and the effective use of digital tools in advocacy.
